Snake River Sturgeon Fishing

The Snake River is famous for sturgeon, and Hells Canyon sturgeon are amazing. Imagine hooking a fish almost twice your height, heavier than you are, and 100 years old! Hells Canyon boasts healthy numbers of North America's largest freshwater fish, the white sturgeon, a nearly prehistoric life form. Regulations require “catch & release” fishing and careful handling of these exotic creatures. Hooking up a “sturg” is always a trip highlight.
